“Diamonds in the Rough” educates, mentors and transforms those in need who enter our care, by using a multi-staged process. This process is structured and requires commitment and discipline to complete.
Core Issues
The program addresses core issues that our “diamonds” struggle with while being addicted. These core issues include, but are not limited to:
- Inability to solve everyday problems
- Inability to deal with physical/emotional abuse
- Inability to cope with stress
- Inability to deal with social anxiety
- Inability to resist peer pressure
- Lack of self-confidence
- Low self-esteem
- Inability to set short-term goals
- Inability to set and accomplish long-term goals
Surface Issues
The program attacks surface issues that our “diamonds” deal with while being addicted. The surface issues include, but are not limited to:
- Unemployment (chronic)
- Lack of education
- Marital discord
- Anger management
- Use of profanity
- Laziness
- Apathy
- Thrill-seeking
- Lack of judgement
Our Vision of Healing
Life events affect us in many ways. Healing in the past makes room for hope in the future. There is nothing more freeing in this world than true internal liberation. And with that liberation comes power to choose. And power to choose opens many new doors and opportunities to live a life fully devoted to the Healer, Jesus Christ.
